Learn all about the sweet world of maple tree tapping with local expert, Dane Rasmussen from Possum Glen Farmsted. Dane has been collecting and processing maple syrup for over 10 seasons. In this 3-hour program, he’ll share everything you need to know about historic and modern maple sugaring methods, tree identification/biology, and how to set up a tapping system in your own backyard. Attendees will enjoy a brief hike, a syrup-processing demonstration by the fire, and free syrup tasting!

Suggested Audience: Adults and children 9+
