Lights Before Christmas

December nights are the most popular time to visit Fernwood, thanks to the Lights Before Christmas. Visitors stroll the garden paths, viewing colorful light displays with nature and garden themes. Indoors, there is live music and free hot chocolate. Santa appears nightly, providing children with a wonderful opportunity to meet him in a non-commercial setting.

Hours are 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., with the last admittance at 8:30. For this year’s schedule, click here.

Admission is $2 for Fernwood members, $6 for other visitors. All children age 5 and under are admitted free.

Chili suppers are served each night from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The menu includes beef chili, hot dogs, desserts and beverages. Items are sold a la carte.

For the past two years our Lights event has included an ice carving comptetion.
