Summer Day Camps
New this year, registration is sponsored and hosted by UltraCamp, based in Niles. Please click on the link below to be taken to the Fernwood page, where you can set up your account to serve as your registration portal and home for all necessary camp forms. We encourage you to do this before registration opens to simplify the process (see below for information to have ready). If you need to take out a Fernwood membership or renew your membership, please do so here before you proceed with camp registration. You will need to have a Member Code to enter to receive the member discount on camp fees – please call Fernwood in advance to receive it.
Registration for Fernwood members opens on Saturday, April 1 at 10:00am; for non-members on Saturday, April 8 at 10:00am. Enrollment is limited and programs fill quickly, so early registration is strongly encouraged. We appreciate your patience with this new process and any feedback you have to share. Please check back with this page on Fernwood’s website regularly for updates.

What parents are saying about Fernwood's nature day camps:
"In this day of "media saturation" of our children, I treasure the time my child can spend in the beauty of Fernwood and exploring all you offer."
"I must say you all run the best camps around by far! How well organized they are, everyone that works does an excellent job."
Roy and Ethelbel Knauer Art Camps
An ideal complementary course to the Jon Meyer Nature Camps, Fernwood’s Roy and Ethelbel Knauer Art Camps combine the arts with natural sciences and are designed to stimulate curiosity, appreciation, and knowledge of the natural world. This year’s theme is “Playing with Color,” with campers use Fernwood’s beautiful gardens and natural areas to inspire the creation of diverse mixed media projects including ceramics, tie dye, drawing/painting, sculpture, and much more, that showcase the beauty of color. On the last day of each session parents are invited to a gallery showing of all the children’s wonderful creations.
