Summer Day Camps

Fernwood's 2018 Summer Camps

Registration for our popular Summer Day Camps opens to Fernwood members at 10am on Tuesday, April 3; registration for the general public opens at 10am on Tuesday, April 10. Enrollment is limited and programs fill quickly, so early registration is strongly encouraged to ensure space in the camp of your choice. Registration is sponsored and hosted by UltraCamp, based in Niles. For more information on camp registration and FAQs, please visit www.fernwoodbotanical.org. If you have any questions, please call Head Naturalist Wendy Jones at ext. 220.

What parents are saying about Fernwood's nature day camps:

"In this day of "media saturation" of our children, I treasure the time my child can spend in the beauty of Fernwood and exploring all you offer."

"I must say you all run the best camps around by far! How well organized they are, everyone that works does an excellent job."

Roy and Ethelbel Knauer Art Camps

An ideal complementary course to the Jon Meyer Nature Camps, Fernwood’s Roy and Ethelbel Knauer Art Camps combine the arts with natural sciences and are designed to stimulate curiosity, appreciation, and knowledge of the natural world. This year's theme is "Crazy Art," with campers using inspiration from Fernwood's gardens and natural areas to create big, bold, and crazy projects that include drawing, painting, tie dye, sculpture, and much more. On the last day of each session parents are invited to a gallery showing of all the children’s wonderful creations.
